Matt Chin--Asst. Swimmer Coach
     at 18 months old started swim lessons and at three joined the Scottsdale Swim Team, where he continued until age 12.  He then swam on the Aquabears USS team until he was 15.  We are pleased that Matt is still eligible to swim for Springwood this year.
     Matt is a senior at De La Salle High school this year and is the class President.  He has been on the Varsity swim team since he was a freshman and also enjoys water polo.  Next year he will be attending UC San Diego, where he was accepted into the Medical Scholar's Program--in eight years, we just might know him as Coach Matt, MD.
     This is Matt's second year as a coach at Springwood.

Kevin Gately -- Coach Advisor / Pre-Season Coach
     went to Mt. View Elementary and started swimming on Springwood when he was a 6 & under.  He swam for De La Salle in High School.  Kevin graduated from Santa Clara University last year, and we are very fortunate that his new employer appreciates the fact that Kevin loves coaching and has allowed him to have flexible work hours. 
     This is Kevin's fifth year as a coach at Springwood.  He is leading the charge for pre-season and will be attending most of the swim meets; in addition to assisting Allison & Liz with their head coaching responsibilities.
